Jennifer T. Matthews
Jennifer Taylor Matthews, Associate AIA, NOMA, Lean Practitioner, is a Medical Planner, Project Manager, and Associate at SS&A Design Collective, where she leads Department of Defense healthcare projects. She is also the Founder of Creative’s XP LLC, a professional development platform that supports architecture students and emerging professionals through mentorship, career workshops, and industry engagement.
Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Tuskegee University’s Robert R. Taylor School of Architecture and Construction Science in 2013, and later completed the Business Design and Arts Leadership program at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in 2020. She made history as the first African American woman elected National Vice President of the American Institute of Architecture Students (2013–2014) and served as President of the Tuskegee Architecture and Construction Alumni Association from 2015 to 2019. Her dedication to education and mentorship was recognized nationally with the 2018 HCD10 Educator Award from Healthcare Design Magazine.
